HIP HIP HOORAY - HARRISON TURNS 2!!

Hey Everyone!
Well i haven't blogged for over a week and i thought i better!
So last week we still had Jono at home.... it was so lovely having us all at home for two whole weeks! Pitty it had to end.
We just did alot of things around home most of the week. And then come Friday it was Harrison's 2nd birthday so we planned a nice day.
Originally we were going to do something around Wagga and mum was coming up for the day, but we decided instead we would go for a little trip down towards mum's and Albury and have some yummy lunch and take Harrison to a play centre or playground.
So in the morning Harrison woke to find his presents in the lounge room with lots of balloons..... he was very excited! Once we were ready we left and headed towards Albury... which we had not been since mid may.
We stopped at Mum's first where Harrison got a "Digger" off nanny and poppy! It is very cool!
Unfortunately my bleeding had increased and we decided it was best to get it checked. So instead of going straight to lunch we went to the hospital to get checked- however the wait was so long, that i did not want to ruin Harrison's birthday so i decided i would wait till we came back to wagga.
So after a couple of hours we made it to the new park in Wodonga - its fantastic! Thanks Aunty Mel for telling me about it!
Harrison had so much fun and we even had a little cake for him...mind you he still hates the candles! We stopped in to see Lee and feed Aimee on the way home.
So our day ended up very unorganised and all over the place ... but the little man had a good day so that is the main thing.
Aimee is doing very well. The last two nights she has pretty much slept through!!!! But i am not getting my hopes up just yet.
She fed at 7pm both nights and the first night she woke at 4:45am and this morning at 5:30am! WHAT AN EFFORT! GO AIMEE!!!
Harrison is still coping very well with having a little sister... he loves her so much and loves to talk to her and occasionally says "hands out" and sits down wanting a hold.
Aimee is growing so fast already and it is hard to believe she will be 3 weeks old at the end of the week.
Jono is back at work now.... and thankfully i am coping really well so far. I have the little ones sleeping at the same time around lunch so i get a little time to myself then. Should probably use it to rest but instead i try to do as much as possible! haha
This weekend we have the long awaited "HOOT PARTY" !! How exciting!
Still cant believe he is 2 already! Will post about it next week.
Sorry its short ... but i have to go do all the things a Mummy of 2 does!
The Number 2 cake he had on his birthday! Now to tackle HOOT!

This Big Brother thing really is exhausting! (He was watching playschool and turned over and passed out!)

HOOT HOOT!!!

PRESENTS!

Aimee snoozing away whilst out and about on her big Brothers Birthday

Harrison playing on hios birthday at the playground!

Aimee in the Bath

Harrison, Daddy and Aimee on Harrison's Bed!
Check it out!

AIMEE CAITLIN UPHILL HAS ARRIVED :)

WOW!!! WHERE DO WE START???
Sorry its taken so long to actually turn the computer on and post this!
Well LITTLE Aimee Caitlin Uphill has arrived and this is how it all unfolded for those who dont know.
Had been to the Dr on Monday 25th July and Dr angus was still happy with everything and didnt seem to think "waggle" was quite ready just yet.
Wednesday the 27th i could hardly sleep or lay down in the one spot for more than 10-15 mins. Woke on Thursday morning the 28th (My due date) having contractions that were irregular. Stupid me went about the day as i had planned and did the "dummy" hoot cake with small contractions all over the place.
Jono was constantly checking on me as he was out and about for work. Come 3:30pm i got a terrible back ache which soon turned in to regular contractions 6 mins apart lasting around 30 secs.
Jono came home a little bit early from work and i had a shower and tried to figure out whether we should have mum on her way to look after Harrison.
They continued at 6 mins and we ended up asking mum to come up. Got Harrison organised had dinner and they were still 6 mins apart at 8:05pm when mum arrived.
At around 9:40pm they all of a sudden cut themselves in half and they were now 3mins apart and lasting just over 1min. And thats when we got in good old filbert and drove to the hospital.
On the way there i had quite a few contractions, but when we arrived at the hospital the Lift was broken- and the only way up was to take the 2 flights of stairs!
One flight of stairs and a contraction on the landing and then another flight of stairs and two more contractions before finally making it to the birthing suite.
I was 3cm dilated and doing pretty good so we hopped in the shower for about an hour and then on the fit ball. I decided to try the gas as they became stronger.... although i think all it did was make jono laugh when i was a little "high" after a contraction.
Dr Angus came in around 12:30am and i was 6cm and he broke my waters. He left saying i will wait to hear from you, and headed home. At this stage the pain was getting the better of me and i requested the epidural.... the midwife said ok i will request it but why dont you hop back in the shower and get comfortable.
So i treid to get into the shower however with in a few minutes i was screaming i need to push and being told to get back on the bed!
Poor Dr Angus didnt quite make it home before having to come back!
With no pain relief on board Aimee was born not long after at 1:06am!
It was definantly hard and fast and very different to our experience with Harrison!!!
Unfortunately i had a Postpartum Haemorrhage and lost quite a bit of blood, but thankfully didnt need any further tranfusion or anything.
We couldnt believe how tiny she was! Here we all were - even Dr angus thinking i was having another decent sized baby- and here was miss Aimee at only 7lb 15oz!
Never in our lives did we think we would give birth to a 7lb 15oz baby after having Harrison who was 10lb 6oz!
So she was to be Aimee Caitlin Uphill
born 29th July 2011 at 1:06am
7lb 15oz (3.6kg)
52 cm long
She is soooo much smaller than Harrison ever was! 1.125kg smaller at birth!
I was in hospital for a few days, thankfully we had mum to help with Harrison allowing jono to spend some time at hospital etc. Thanks again Mum!
We had alot of visitors at the hospital... thank you all so much, especially those who travelled!
We came home Monday and have settled in very nicely and Harrison is a very proud, helpful big brother and has taken to Aimee so well.
he is very interested in everything and always talking to Aimee.
Today - 1 week since coming home- Aimee had her community nurse check. She is doing so well and it appears that my milk is as good as it was with Harrison as she is stacking on the weight !!!
I will pop a few pictures up now and blog again in a few days.

WAGGLE IS DUE NEXT WEEK!!!

Daddy and Harrison having a Shave!!

Tackling all the fantastic toys that Aunty Mel, Uncle Ja and Brayden sent for me to  play with :)

Just Looking "HUNKY" in my HUNK top from the Seymour's!

Just Chillin' in my "I DIG MOM" PJ's all the way from America! Thanks Aunty Jenn, Uncle Ted, Charlotte and Victoria
Wow!! Waggle is almost due!
Sorry i have been slack and have not posted anything for a little bit. Just trying to do a hundred things before Waggle comes and most of all relax and spend time with my boys. :)
We are very excited that our due date is only next week and can't wait to see our new little baby, when he or she decides to arrive!
We have had two appointments since i last wrote. The first one everything is good and he said there was no signs of me going early and that he didn't think Waggle would be as big as Harrison was (10lb 6oz). Which although that sounds good i will wait until the baby is out to believe that or not! If i had to say right now i would say yes he is right i dont think Waggle will be quite as big as Harrison, but then again who knows- and if i go over.... they really stack on lots of weight in last weeks so it will still be a very well nourished baby!
Our appointment 2 days ago we could see (on the ultrasound) that my placenta has started to age and get spots, which it does towards the end. So that is a good sign.... lets hope when we go back on monday that there will be lots of spots on the screen!
He says i will be back for my appointment on monday.... in other words still not looking like i will go before then.
But as i keep saying to Jono... i am healthy, waggle is healthy and that is all that matters! I have talked myself into believing that i will go late again so i think that helps.
I can tell there is alot of people starting to get impatient.... you would think i would be the more impatient one when i am the one still throwing up and aching etc.
But i know Waggle will come when the time is right... early, on time, late, induced or not.
Some clients of Jono's Glen and Kerry are due on the 1st and two weeks ago were told they were going to go early, and then this week Dr angus told them they may not make it past midnight. So we are very keen to hear whether they have a new baby yet!! They have a little boy who is a few months younger than Harrison.

Now i have to say a HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to SHELLEY, CHRIS and CODY as Baby JACK PHILIP PETERSON finally arrived!!!! He is sooo cute and looks just like his big brother Cody! Well done guys :)

We had "Grandpa" come and stay a night on his way back to Sydney and he delivered a huge amount of toys and clothes for Harrison from Aunty Mel, Uncle Ja and Brayden! He loves everything that they sent up..... especially Bob the Builder.
Thank you so much to Aunty Mel, Uncle Ja and Brayden!! He loved having lots of new things to look at and play with :)
Harry was a bit sick again- had him at the hospital with very high temp. Poor little man, sore ears and throat and sinuses were all puffed up. He was not well at all. :(
Two days later Aunty Rach came down on the plane and stayed for two nights.
Harrison was very excited by the planes at the airport this time.... He calls the qantaslink ones "Aunty Rach's" and says kangaroo when he see's it.
We are constantly checking Waggle's room to make sure its ready and that we haven't forgotten anything. Still feel weird as we haven't had to buy anything this time round. Where as with Harrison we were starting from scratch.
I have spent day after day searching for curtains for Harrison's room. All we wanted was plain blue lined curtains- who ever would have thought it could be so hard!
Even was willing to make them from scratch... but no fabric in a plain nice blue!
I eventually found some navy ones for sale in perth, so i have purchased them and hope they arrive in the next few days. I was hoping for more of a royal/colbolt blue but this navy doesnt seem to be too dark. So they will just have to do, and if they are really too dark then i will just have to keep searching and sell them.
Never imagined it could be so difficult.
We sent / gave out all Harrison's invites to his "Hoot Party" and i have finished making the decorations. We are currently attempting the cake... so i know how to do it and how much time i need etc, as waggle will be here and i have to be as organised as possible!
Harrison has been having lots of fun with the girls across the road , Bec and Gemma. He loves having them over for a play! They are very keen to know when everything happens and are always offering to mind Harrison if we need, so nice to know that there is still people around who are so caring... Bec has even convinced her mum that if i go into labour and mum isn't here yet that she can leave school early to mind Harrison! hahaha
Jono is still very busy at work and says he is having trouble concentrating knowing that Waggle will be here soon! He is trying to get lots done so that when waggle comes he can have 2 weeks off. Wow that will be so nice :)
So it's still a waiting game.... but not long now :)
We will keep posting and hopefully one of the next few is a special post saying "Waggle has arrived".
If i do not have your email, make sure you send it through to me so i can add you and make sure you get the email too.
Hope everyone is well..... :)

WAGGLE IS DUE THIS MONTH! (Waggle Take Note- "THIS MONTH")

Sorry for only just getting to this now, but i thought... better late than never!
I meant to write last week after seeing Waggle, but just never got to it.
Jono and I have both had a terrible cough and jono took some cough medicine ( i obviously can't) and ended up having a bad allergic reaction to it and was so itchy and broke out in rashes all over and it lasted for 6 days! And most of the time he would break out at the exact time in which he took the medicine! Poor thing... it didnt look like fun!
So, last week was a bit busy. Monday we got to see Waggle, who was scrunched up and hiding behind his or her legs and arms... so a photo was not really happening. Dr Angus was very happy with everything and Jono said to him as a joke... So How is our little 6lb 10oz baby coming along (joking that it would only be that when waggle is born) Dr Angus replied.... with a laugh- "Yes, it might be that now!"
So there is still no fears of Waggle being little!
In the last few weeks they are meant to pack it on at about 1/2 -1 lb a week! I guess we will see soon enough just how "Little" or "Big" Waggle is.
Maybe just Maybe mum will be right and Waggle will suprise us at a petit 9lb something! lol
Monday was also Mum's birthday. She came up and spent the day with us which was nice.
Harrison and I took her out to lunch, which was yummy and Harrison was extrememly well behaved. Such a big boy. Jono was very busy at work but managed to come and see us quickly.
We then went down to the shops for awhile. Harrison even said "Happy Birthday Nanna" quite a few times.
I have been nesting .... either that or just silly! Cleaning and rearranging things in cupboards etc....
We also spent alot of time during the week deciding just what we were doing for Jono's birthday which was on Friday. Thursday morning Harrison and i( and Waggle) did a very quick trip down to the shops to get everything we needed ... mind you silly me forgot the toy sale started and thank god the all the people were mostly in the layby line!
Friday arrived and Harrison was very excited that it was Daddy's birthday! He even remembered where i had hid the presents! Jono went off to work and then on Friday night i had planned a suprise dinner for him. He thought it was just Harrison and I (and Waggle) taking him out. But i had asked Mum,John, Mel, Ja and brayden, Amanda, Dave, Ava and Owen and Shelley, Chris and Cody (and baby- who we are still waiting for!) Unfortunately only Mum, and Amanda, Dave, Ava and Owen could come.... until poor little Owen burnt his finger and was not very happy :(
So it ended up as just Mum and us.... but the best bit was seeing jono get a little suprise. He was very thankful to Mum for coming up for his birthday. The dinner was very very nice and once again Harrison was very well behaved.
We went home for some birthday cake where Harrison hated the candles... and cried again. Mind you he got over it pretty quick when he was offered some cake to eat.
I made jono a golf cake... he loved it. I said to him- its amazing that out of the 6 birthdays of his we have been together not once had i made a "golf" cake until now!
We had reserved the whole weekend to ourselves to spend some time together and do a few things for jono's birthday.
Yesterday we got to see Waggle again. Harrison was very excited to go to the "Fishie Dr". I said to him before we left... "are we going to go see the fishie dr?" and he replied with "And Waggle" it was so cute.
Waggle is still going along very well.... and is looking just a tad squished in there as you can see in the picture. Harrison was very talkative to Dr Angus and told him that we called the baby Waggle.
The whole afternoon Harry kept telling me that we had been to the Dr and seen the fishies and Waggle.
Mind you when we came home he went to bed for his sleep and spent the first 45mins singing "Happy Birthday .. To You"  at the top of his lungs! I do wonder whether he has a severe case of the verbal runs or whether he is just following in my footsteps as a "Procrastinator"
He continued the theme last night ... talking for an hour before we went in.
Mind you this is a huge improvement... as since Harry was sick a few weeks back he has hated the idea of putting himself to sleep at night unless he knows we are close by where he can see us. Which is so unlike him as he has always been so good settling etc. But i guess sometimes they just go through stages and i am sure he will get there. He has been doing very well this week... once by himself and last night he was almost asleep from talking, mind you he was complaining his head was sore and had a temp (had a head butt with jono earlier in night) so i dont blame him for not getting to sleep... probably had a little headache. But at least he doesnt seem as scared now and not screaming.
It has had us puzzled as during the day he goes to bed like an angel and he has a night light so its not the dark.
Anyway....
We are looking forward to this weekend as we have Ava's 3rd birthday on Saturday and it is a rainbow party! We have to wear our favourite colour!!
Amanda has been extremely busy getting everything organised so i am sure it will be fantastic!
Then Dad (Grandpa) will arrive sunday on his way back home to Sydney.
Aunty Rach is looking at being here during the week on Wednesday and Thursday aswell.
I have decided we need a 4-5 bedroom house, as we grow as a family the only option for people who come to stay is a matress on the floor in the lounge room!! However , moving anytime soon really doesnt sound like fun.
So here we stay... we like it here :)
Harrison is very excited about his birthday already and can't wait to send/ hand out his hoot invites!
He has been saying "Hoot Party" and even told jono on friday (jono bday) he was having a hoot party.
He has also started to understand "Waggle" a little better... as in, he will point to things in Waggles room and say "For Waggle" and he is constantly bringing blankets to me saying "For Baby" and wrapping it around my belly. If you ask him what you have to do when Baby Waggle is sleeping he puts his finger up to his mouth and says "quiet". He is always looking at Waggles nappies and then looks at me like mum these are way too small!
I think i have blabbed enough for now...
hopefully for my friend Shelley's sake the next time i write her new little baby will be here and i will be able to tell you all about him or her! Thinking of you Shelley.... it will all happen within a few days! Yay!
Until next time....

EARLY, LATE, ON TIME OR OVER???

Well Only 5 weeks to go!!!
I keep telling myself that i am going to go over as i did with Harrison..... that way if i do go over it wont be so bad! Well thats what i am telling myself for now!
We see Waggle on Monday- cant wait to see him or her!
On the weekend we went to Cody's 2nd birthday and had a really lovely time.
Harrison enjoyed it so much- especially the Wiggles cake, mini trampoline and pass the parcel! Shelley made it through the day without going into labour and also made it through Monday (Cody's actual birthday).
So now that those days have passed- COME OUT BABY! lol We want to meet you.
Harrison spent alot of time on Sunday practicising his golf with Daddy! As you can see in the video, he now will play golf with anything anywhere! Ready, Two Hands, Good Shot! Its so cute!
He has also been saying so much! We can't keep up! He will copy any word that you say ..... he is still doing well with alphabet and counting, and has started copying me or jono whilst saying the alphabet- just like a little cockatoo!
We took him back to the Doctor on tuesday as he has not been himself since he had the terrible cough a few weeks ago. And sure enough he has a sore ear. Doctor says it probably started straight after cough and is only just starting to clear now. No wonder he hasnt been himself!
We have had a fairly quiet week- i have had a few very yuck days, and the weather has been far from nice.
My belly is still growing rapidly- and for those that remember, with Harrison we took measurements around my belly. Well we have been doing it again this time and i am a few cm in front of what i was with Harrison.
Everyone says i am more out front then i was with Harry..... i only see when we take photos! other than that all i see is the top of my belly!
Only a week till Jono's birthday- Harrison and i are planning lots of special things!
I have been wondering the last few days whether or not Waggle will be born on someones birthday! We have so many family and friends between now and the due date!
From now till end of July we have (just to mention a few)
Sarah, Jenny,Greg, Chad, Mum, Jono, Christopher,Ava, Dad, Aunty Carmel, Nanna, Shelley and Owen.... and a few more inbetween!  Plus our Wedding anniversary!
I do remember thinking the exact same thing with Harrison..... and he ended up in August!
As long as Waggle is healthy ( and nice to mummy) thats all that matters!
Hard to believe Harrison will be 2 very soon! I am almost finished his very cute invitations and plan to do a "dummy cake" in the next week. As ofcourse the one we picked is not just a plain, easy one! hahaha Like to make it a bit of a challenge!Next year i will have to make 2 within a short space!!!
Anyway, hope you like the few pics and video.
We will write another blog once we have been to Doctor to see Waggle on Monday!

The growing belly!! The black top makes my belly look a little smaller i think!

Harrison being cheeky in the bath!!
Harry laughing in the bath!

Just checking out the latest junk mail!!

WAGGLE IS GOING VERY WELL- ONLY 6 WEEKS TO GO!

Today we went to see Waggle at the "FISHIE DOCTOR" (As Harrison calls it- Dr Angus has a very large fish tank in the waiting room, and Harrison loves it!)
Waggle is growing very well, and no suprise is still above average in size! Harrison told Dr Angus he thinks it is a girl, but when we got home he told me it is going to be a boy! Then he continued to say "boy or girl, cant say".... hahaha anyone would think he is 20! not almost 2!
Anyway the main thing is Waggle is very healthy :)
In the photo you can see Waggle has started to change a little and i think is still very much like Harrison but not quite as much as the last few photos! He or she has very chubby cheeks, and in this photo even has his or her eye open!!
We had a lovely long weekend :)
On Saturday we went to the park for Charlotte's  (Krause) 3rd Birthday Party. Her Birthday was in May but Dale her Daddy has just come back from 6 months away, so they had the party when he was back.
Harrison had so much fun and played lots in the playground.
After that we picked up a special suprise for Harrison ( and eventually Waggle). It is a Wag's the Dog Rocker (Rocking Horse/DOG). He Loves it and is constantly saying- "RIDE WAGS"
Sunday we didnt do alot, just a huge grocery shop.
Monday we went out and about looking for a few things for Harrison's Birthday Present. We are trying to make sure we are very organised.
When we were in bunnings Harrison got to do the DIY class. A free class of painting a flower pot :) It was so cute to see him so excited.
He even got to put a flower in the pot and bring it home! This weekend they have a big day up there for kids with jumping castles etc- we may just have to go have some more fun!
This weekend we have Cody's 2nd Birthday party which should be lots of fun! Shelley (Cody's Mum) is also pregnant and only has 2 weeks to go!
Jono has been very busy with work, and tonight on the way home from client visits had a MASSIVE Kangaroo jump inbetween him and an excel in front. Unfortunately the CBA work car suffered. Huge damage to the passenger side- he was so lucky, as it could have been so much worse. Shook him up thats for sure.
Not only am i grateful he is safe and ok, but thankful it wasnt our personal car, or that he was in a little car rather than the outlander. It would have demolished a smaller car!!
We have had huge success with the potty too- Harrison has done 3 Wee's before bed in the last week. He likes to read or sing songs whilst on the potty- as you can see in the picture!!
We hope you are enjoying our blog....

7 WEEKS TO GO!

Sorry we have not posted anything for over a week.... Our internet was broken, lets hope for our sake its fixed now! OR WATCHOUT TELSTRA! Hours on the phone to them during the past few weeks has been driving us insane!
Anyways....
Our week and a bit has been fairly quiet, which is a good thing as it has been very cold. Yesterday it only got to 8 degrees and most nights are in the minus.
Harrison has been all rugged up - beanie and all. He calls his Jumpers or jackets- JUMPBUMS!
He has been very interested in my belly, wanting to give waggle lots of kisses and cuddles. Waggle is still growing by the second- and still making me sick, but when we look at Harrison and how beautiful he is it makes it so worth the throwing up. 7 weeks to go - not that i am counting!
I have had a few little goes on my new sewing machine- and even made the blind for the laundry window!! Watchout!
Over the weekend we did bit of a clean up, sorted through Harrison's room and toys and organised it a bit better for him and realised he is still growing very quickly as quite a few clothes got put back in the "Brayden Hand Me Down Bag" or his crate. We also moved the Elmo curtains from waggles room to Harrison's until i can make some blue ones or buy them. The cold air that comes off the windows is amazing- and wooden blinds do nothing to stop it.
We also gave Harrison a change of doona.... he now has Bob the Builder!! He is forever walking around saying
BOUILDER  ...WE FIX IT! hahah
We made sure we had everything organised for Waggle in Waggles Room. We keep looking at it all and think wow was Harrison ever little enough to fit in cot etc.
My bag is all ready for hospital so now all we have to do is wait! ONLY 7 weeks!!! YAY!
I still have no idea of boy or girl, Harrison has always said GURL and Jono changes is mind every now and then but still mainly girl. Feel free to place your bets! Odds are pretty good - 50% chance of getting it right! lol
This week Harrison has learnt how to sing a few songs... BAA BAA BARBIE SHEEP (as he calls it haha) the alphabet, Its Raining and a few others. He cant sing them in full but if you sing with him he will fill in all the missing bits. In the Alphabet - he loves LMNOP! He can also do all the actions to Rock a Bye a Bear (Wiggles) - the only problem is he will only do that in the shower!!!
There is alot of new things he says, but he likes .. "Smile for the Photo". He has also been looking at our wedding pictures and telling us who everybody is.... Jenny, Ted, Arnie Mul, Brayden, Ja, Nanna, Pop, Papa (Grandpa) ,  etc.... and he tries to say Great Nanna.
We had a little lunch date (for mummy's birthday) on Tuesday with Amanda, Ava and Owen at Hogs Breath, which was very lovely. Harry, Ava and Owen were very well behaved and i think Owen ate the most!!! After lunch we went for a little walk to spotlight, myer etc and Harrison and Ava were playing boyfriend and girlfriend- they held hands the whole time. And if Ava let go Harrison would say "Hand" until Ava held hands again. It was so adorable.
Yesterday Harrison and i went to the shops for a little bit to do a few things and i took him to the toy shop.... he was so funny- walking around pointing to eveything telling me who and what they were. Bob, Roary raching car, Wiggles, Thomas. And then he would yell out ABC KIDS!
He is constantly counting too- all the way to 10! Although sometimes he tricks you and plays around and misses numbers on purpose.
Over the Past week Jono and I have spent most nights tracing and cutting out Harrison's Birthday invitations.... We are making sure everything is prepared so we are organised and don't have to worry about it once Waggle arrives. Hard to believe our little man is going to be 2! If you ask him he will tell you he is going to be 2 :)
Looking forward to our long weekend this weekend.... its so nice when Jono gets to be at home too.
And then We get to see Waggle on Tuesday- so that will be great!!
Here is a little video of Harry kicking in the backyard..... just excuse the "Heavy Breathing" Mummy is finding it a little hard to keep up... the joys of being heavily pregnant!! He especially wanted to show Uncle Ted his skills!
