The Uphill Post: BEEN VERY SLACK ON THE BLOG FRONT!

Hey Everyone....
Well it's taken me a couple of weeks but here is a blog - finally!!
Last time i blogged was just after Harrison's birthday so i have a few weeks to cover!
Well we had the "HOOT PARTY" for Harrison's birthday a few weekends ago and it was a success. However the poor Hoot cake was a challenge and ended up being done at the start of the party so he didnt fall over or collapse! Thanks mum and mel for your help :)
I have a few pictures from Dad and Mel, but if there is anyone else that was here that got any could you please let me know.
Harry had so much fun with his little friends. It was a lovely day all round.
Aimee is now five and a half weeks old and doing fantastic! We even get a few little smiles, however she still can pull the best frowns and funny faces! She is doing well feeding and sleeping- still only waking once a night. No complaints here!
We went to the nurse last week for a little check of weight etc. You will find the results amuzing!
AIMEE AT 5 WEEKS = Weight 4.35kg , Length 56.2cm, Head Circumference 38.9cm
(So since birth has gained 750grams, grown 6.2cm and her head has grown 5.5cm)
HARRISON at BIRTH= Weight 4.725kg (.375 more than Aimee at 5 weeks) Length 56cm (.2 less then Aimee at 5 weeks) Head Circumference 38cm (.9 less then aimee at 5 weeks)
SO Pretty much Aimee is the height and head circumference of harry at Birth but not as heavy yet!!!
WOW- he really was big!! I knew it before but it just seems so much bigger when you have another baby to compare it to!
Anyway- she is going along great and putting on plenty of weight etc.
Harrison on the other hand has had a terrible cough for 7.5 weeks and still going. He has been on 3 courses of antibiotics and now is on his 4th and a nasal spray and has an appointment with the paediatrician.
We have no idea why he cant shake it but the poor little man has had enough. :( Hopefully we get to see him back at 100% soon. Even before the 7.5 weeks he only had like 2 weeks of feeling just ok as he had the cough before that aswell.
Fingers crossed he is on the mend real soon.
Aunty Rach and UNCLE Alex came down last weekend and not only did they get to meet Aimee for the 1st time but we also got to meet Alex for the first time! He very quickly earned the "UNCLE" in front of his name! It was so lovely to have them down for the weekend :) Harrison had a ball and Aimee enjoyed many cuddles! Even from Alex!
This weekend was father's day and also Uncle Ja's birthday. We made the trip down to Albury to celebrate both with a little lunch at the Kinross. It was lovely :) Danny Phegan was the singer and he was fantastic- however when mum started to dance mel and i found ourselves hiding! Bahaha
During last week my good friend Amanda here in wagga (Ava and Owen's Mummy) told me they were moving away to the Sunshine Coast :(
Oh i did some sobbing that day :( Oh we will miss them so much! Such great friends!
I guess we know where the location of our next holiday is :)
We have been organising Aimee's Christening which has been a challenge in itself!
Dad is at Jenn and Ted's from end of Sept to End of Oct and then mum is there from Mid Nov to Early Dec. So we had only the two weekends between them to choose from.
Whilst we know they will both be able to be here for it- we understand that others who are important to us will not be able to come on that weekend- so it was very hard. But if we didnt do this date then it wouldnt have been done this year and we would prefer it be done before next year.
Aimee will be able to wear the same christening outfit i wore- Very special.
Harry was just simply to big! :)
Anyways my time is up as the kiddies are surfacing from the Lunch time sleep.
